Symrise Takes Minority Stake in Biotech Start-Up Synergio

German fragrance and flavors supplier Symrise has entered into a partnership with Synergio, an Israeli biotech company that specializes in the development of natural and sustainable solutions to be used in advanced plant-based technology destined for consumer goods products.

WHO: Founded in Jerusalem in 2009, Synergio owns comprehensive expertise in natural antimicrobial combinations obtained by sustainable sourcing. The biotech company develops next-generation plant bioactives for healthier and more sustainable personal care and cosmetic products. Core technologies include high-performance broad-spectrum natural antimicrobials that it distributes worldwide. Using a data-driven, biochemistry-based, computational platform, Synergio leverages deep understanding of plant bioactives and synergies. This enables it to deliver healthy and sustainable beauty care solutions that are 100% safe and natural, meeting the highest standard of the personal care industry.
